So here is a first analysys of shares and favs by #Software 👇🏼
There are some missing, maybe because my instance doesn't know about them (I'm getting the number via API), and #Bluesky has some more (but not much). Sadly I tagged #Lemmy/#Piefed wrong, so they could not share/like.
The most surprising part for me is how many of the accounts are bridged via #BridgyFed, it's more than one sixth as far as I can see.
I will look into the data more.
Now with corrected colors! Thanks to all who shared it wide, it got very far!
- it was shared far more often than last time
- everyone is so nice
- #Bluesky was not more popular than last time, but it's still first
- the diversity is great, but the range of reachable networks seems not bigger
- with #Wafrn there is an interesting new one in town, and it seems to get traction (https://wedistribute.org/2025/10/wafrn-chaotic-good/)
- I'll have to add #Piefed/#Lemmy the next time
@mho Grüße aus Valencia /Spanien 👋
@mho @fediverse Hometown (iirc) is a Mastodon fork that just allows me to post to people on my server (though I have to use the web interface for it). I'm surprised the developer chose a different tag, but it does give visibility.
@mho @fediverse what do you mean with one sixth is using BridgyFed? Does that mean a big chunk of that purple part is actually bluesky?
Interesting visualisation would perhaps also be, how many of the interactions came from mastodon.social alone in comparison to all the rest.
@mho That makes sense. The post is getting shared to more people on bluesky but you can't see this from outside.
@mho
maybe its a good idea to use the same colors on both graphics e.g. hubzilla, friedica ...
@fediverse
@sweber_de @fediverse
Oh, of course. That was just quick and dirty. It's Excels fault 😉
@mho
use Libreoffice Calc 😂
@fediverse
I have an Excel-file, where I can just insert the link to a post, and get all this data. Thanks to a data connection. Don't know, if LibreOffice is able to do this, too.
@mho
No, I will not share Mastodon's post because they are already too big as an instance and therefore have too much influence.
In addition, their app still defaults to their own instance instead of offering a choice. Until that changes, I will not share anything.

@mho Greetings from
MOULE WORLD!
@mho Sadly it didn't reach the linked fediverse community on PieFed. Was the mention part of your original post or did you edit in @fediverse?
In the original I wrote !fediverse..., I edited the @fediverse... in. That was too late, wasn't it?
Actually not! I can see it here like normal using lemmy.
@mho Yeah, I think so. I just tested it and it showed up instantly https://piefed.social/c/playground/p/1498386/test-from-mastodonplayground
